Celebrate like
you mean it
Hi, I’m Becky M.
An independent celebrant in the midlands
Most people don’t come to me because they want a standard ceremony. They come because they’ve been to a few, and if they’re honest, they all felt a bit the same. Perfectly nice, but not something you’d still be talking about a week later.
And when it’s your wedding, or when you’re marking someone’s life, “nice” isn’t really the point.
You want something that actually reflects who you are. The history, the relationships, the personality, the slightly chaotic bits, the brilliant bits.
The real stuff.
That might be a wedding. It might be a celebration of life. It might be a naming ceremony or a moment of change that deserves to be marked properly.
A lot of the people I work with have lived a bit. There’s usually some history there – second marriages, later-in-life love, blended families, adoptions, name changes, all the different ways life unfolds when it doesn’t follow a neat little plan.
And because of that, they don’t want something quiet or generic. They want something that feels deliberate. Something with a bit of energy in it. Something that actually sounds like them when it’s said out loud.
Life isn’t neat. It’s funny, hard, emotional, joyful and sometimes all in the same breath. When something matters, it deserves more than just going through the motions, so let’s celebrate it like you actually mean it.
If you want beige, I’m not it. If you want something with a bit more colour, you’re in the right place.
Life isn’t tidy.
It’s loud and complicated and brilliant.
When something matters, gather your people and mark it properly.
Big moments. Fully felt.
I create and lead personalised ceremonies – weddings, celebrations of life, living celebrations and naming ceremonies.
Different moments. Same principle.
They should feel deliberate. Grounded. Fully yours.
For couples getting married, that means a ceremony written from scratch – shaped around your story, your promises and the people who helped you get here. Because a wedding ceremony isn’t just about celebrating love. It changes how you see yourselves, how others see you, and how you step into the next chapter together.
For families marking a life, it means gathering intentionally. Choosing the place. The tone. The stories that actually sound like them.
For naming ceremonies, it means witnessing change properly, not as admin, but as identity.
I shape the words. I help you choose the setting if you’re unsure where to start. The music. The readings. The shared moments that will actually land.
Weddings, naming ceremonies or celebrations of life… my aim is always the same - you should leave feeling heard, celebrated, and excited for what comes next.

How this comes together
You tell me what this moment means and I listen properly.
We spend real time on the stories, the reasons and the bits that matter most.
I shape it carefully using structure, rhythm and words that feel like you.
You see it. We tweak it. We tighten it until it feels right.
On the day, I steady the space so you can simply be in it.

If this feels like your kind of place, let’s talk. No pressure.
Just a proper conversation about what you’re planning and how you want it to feel.
